Troubled by his dark past, Oscar Carlson joins the NYPD and becomes a homicide detective. Samantha Huff, also with the NYPD, works in the narcotics division. Both are relentless when it comes to getting things done, and both enjoy working alone without the burden of a partner. Their paths never cross until one day Oscar ruins Samantha’s investigation while working on his. It was an accident, but a lucky one. That day, they find themselves trapped in an investigation they need to work together.
Oscar, who had never felt a sense of belonging with his coworkers, is challenged to work with somebody else. The two detectives have to fight their inner conflicts when they work to solve a case that involves a network of killer wolves that have a macabre plan.
On their journey Oscar and Samantha will become enemies of wolf shifters and will have to constantly be on the run and at the edge of risk. They will need to fight the shifters while at the same time avoiding exposure of the shifter world to the rest of society. Their inner conflicts will be challenged when they are each forced to face their past as it relates to the current investigation.
