David's Hope by Rebekah Fisher
A Sweet Amish Romance Series
This series revolves around the owner and employees of Kauffman’s Kitchen, an Amish restaurant in Creekside Mills, catering to English and Amish alike. The happy atmosphere has made the restaurant popular for many years. You'll meet and get to know Priscilla, Lily, Sandy, David and their friends.

This first book features David Fleckinger, a newcomer to the town of Creekside Mills. He has just been hired on a trial basis to work at the well-loved Amish restaurant in town, after looking for weeks for a job. He’s grateful for the job, but every day is laced with a quiet desperation as he hopes to help his family recover from the financial devastation of a terrible crop. They’ve already lost their farm, and if they can’t begin to make ends meet soon, David’s two younger siblings, whom he adores, will be sent to live with their aunt and uncle in Wisconsin.

He meets pretty and kind Rebecca Lapp - his siblings' teacher, and a frequent visitor to the restaurant - and determines he'll do anything in his power to prove his worth to her. However, some incidents occur at the restaurant and his job is now put in jeopardy.

As if that isn't difficult enough, it appears he has lost respect with Rebecca.

He needs a miracle to have his life turned around, but it seems as though God is silent...
